A report from Aquila shows that munis have historically demonstrated strong performance following down-market cycles. Fitch has upgraded several bonds in Chicago and assigned a BBB rating to $757 million of soon-to-be-issued GO bonds.  Schwab's Municipal Bond ETF (SCMB) is now trading on the NYSE.
